2nd Grade Musical

Murphy 2nd graders put on a terrific performance tonight with Lights, Camera, Action!. Mr. Kaiser and the students worked hard and dazzled a packed house.  Thanks to all the families for coming out and showing their support.

Science Olympiad

Murphy students took part in our first annual Science Olympiad tonight. There were all kinds of fantastic activities including crime scene investigation, CPR simulations, anatomy exhibits, structure building, and even scat identification (yuck!).  The students had a fabulous time. Special thanks to our professionals who volunteered their time to make the night so special. Also thank you to Mrs. Mazur for organizing the event and to ALL of our moms, dads, and grandparents who helped put on a great show.

Murphy Talent Show

Murphy celebrated its annual Talent Show on Friday night and this year’s event was spectacular! We had singing, dancing, hula hooping and all kinds of talent on display. Special thanks to Mr. McEachern for organizing the event and spending time with the students after school to help with their performances.

2nd Grade Someone Special

This past week, second graders in Mrs. Hayes, Mrs. Pake, and Mrs. Dodson’s classes participated in their annual “Someone Special” event. Students honor an important person in their life through presentation of their writing.  The event comes complete with a red carpet, music, and refreshments!  Thanks to all our special persons who attended the event.

Get your team in before they fill up!  Over the last 10 years we’ve raised over $50,000.  This year, 100% of our profit will go towards purchasing 60 new iPads for our students.  All skills levels will have a great time.  If you don’t golf you can help out through volunteering or sponsoring a hole or a team.  Please contact us with any questions.

Science Alive

On Thursday and Friday this week, Murphy is being visited by the Science Alive program.  Students have an opportunity to see some cool critters you wouldn’t find everyday.  Pictured here are a chinchilla, an armadillo, and a really big snake.  No animals (or students!) were harmed during the taking of these pictures.
